InHALES

Respiratory Simulator

InHALES

The InHALES (Independent Holistic Air-Liquid Exposure System) is a human-relevant aerosol exposure platform for inhalation toxicology research. It generates configurable breathing profiles with precise control of flow rate, volume, humidity and temperature.

Co-developed with PMI R&D Neuchâtel and published in Toxicology in Vitro (2020), the system was designed to provide a more physiologically relevant alternative to conventional aerosol exposure methods. It has also been integrated with TissUse's HUMIMIC platform for systemic exposure studies.
