About
When no off-the-shelf solution exists
Biomedon is a Swiss engineering company specialized in custom laboratory instruments for regulated industries — including pharmaceutical, tobacco, biotech and analytical chemistry. For over 20 years, we have designed and built instruments for global companies, research centers and hospitals.
Our team handles every aspect of development — from initial concept to validated instrument. Everything is done in-house, giving us full control over the process and the ability to react fast. No coordination between subcontractors, no interface problems, one point of contact.
Our network of scientists and industry specialists across Switzerland ensures that every instrument is informed by real-world research needs — not just engineering assumptions. We understand your workflows, your constraints and your regulatory environment, because we've been part of it.
Rooted in a family tradition of Swiss precision — from watchmaking to scientific instrumentation — Biomedon brings a heritage of exactitude to every instrument we build.
Location
Neuchâtel sits between the Lake Geneva medtech hub — home to EPFL, Campus Biotech and hundreds of medtech and biotech companies — and the Jura precision engineering tradition that shaped Swiss watchmaking and microtechnology.
Biomedon draws from both: medtech expertise from one side, precision manufacturing from the other. This is not a coincidence — it's why we're here.
Our Approach
One team, one facility, one responsibility. From mechanical design to electronics, software and validation — everything happens under the same roof. Faster decisions, tighter integration, full accountability.
Our instruments are designed for scientific workflows, not factory floors. Intuitive interfaces, complete data traceability, and compliance-ready architecture — because we understand the environments they operate in.
Every instrument is designed, engineered, assembled and tested in Neuchâtel. Manufactured by Swiss and European precision partners, delivered from our facility. Swiss Made — without compromise.
Scientific Background
Biomedon's founder is co-author of 9 peer-reviewed publications and co-inventor of 5 patents in microphysiological systems, organ-on-chip and aerosol exposure — including the original InHALES platform. This scientific foundation ensures that every instrument we build is informed by firsthand research experience, not just engineering specifications.
